LittleLamb wraps are made from a naturally s-t-r-e-t-c-h-y and soft knitted poly fabric with a breathable membrane bonded to the inside (PUL). This ensures air can circulate through the material, keeping the temperature down, but the larger moisture molecules are kept inside.  The result is a wrap that keeps wee and poop contained.  The wraps are designed to fit around the Little Lamb newborn shaped nappies perfectly, but they fit most other brands of shaped and flat nappies.  You need 1 wrap with every 3-5 nappies as you can reuse the wrap a few times before washing, assuming it does not get soiled.  As both the nappy and wrap have elasticated back and thigh seams, ‘poo explosions’ up to the neck are almost unheard of.   The newborn wraps feature a snap closure on the front to make the wrap even smaller if needed. Please note only the newborn Little Lamb wrap features this detail.  The wraps are hypoallergenic, chemically inert and fully conform to the E.U. ReACH regulations for dyestuffs. All the components used in the wraps have Oeko-tex Standard100 certification for garments used next to a baby’s immature skin.

Our Opinion:  If you want to use cloth from birth then the ‘onesize nappies and wraps’ often won’t be as reliable as a small newborn nappy and wrap,  so for a smooth start a few of these newborn sizes can really help.  I personally would not buy many of the newborn nappies as babies grow out of them within 2-4 months.  However having a few good fitting, slim nappies in those first few months can be a real boon, plus if this is your first baby and you hopefully plan to have more, then you will get value for money as they can be used with each child.   Also this is a ‘two part shaped nappy system’ which is the most leak proof nappy style and particularly good at containing newborn runny poo. 

Washing – wash between 40° and 60°.  Can be tumble dried on a low heat.  If you dry this nappy directly on the radiator it will loose its softness so this is not advisable.  For full instructions on washing all your nappies see Washing Your Nappies.    Close Velcro tabs by folding over onto itself to protect during washing.

MANUFACTURERS WASHING GUIDE –

Care for your nappies by following these easy steps.

1. Hold the nappy or washable liner over the toilet and ease off the solids. If using a disposable liner, bin it, don’t flush it.
2. Close any velcro tabs.
3. Put them in a dry pail with lid. Wait until you have a full load.
4. Wash them with a gentle washing powder on a full cycle using the recommended amount of washing powder for load size and water hardness. Note – DO NOT ADD BLEACHING AGENTS OR FABRIC SOFTENERS.
5. Hang out to dry in direct sunshine or near (but not touching ) a direct heat, or tumble dry on a low heat.
