The Wizard Duo is a slim nappy consisting of a Wizard Duo nappy insert that snaps into a Wizard Duo Cover to make a nappy that goes on in one simple step.  Simply replace the wizard duo insert when wet or soiled and reuse the Duo cover 3-4 times!

The Wizard Duo absorbent inserts snap in and out of the Duo cover. Unlike other all in two nappies there is elastic all the way round the pad. This ensures you get the same excellent containment as you do from a two part nappy system but with the convenience of a one layer system.

For a nice slim fit you are best to use the sized pads with sized wraps but for cost effectiveness the onesize inserts andwraps will make your system significantly cheaper.  However it will be bulkier at the lower end of the weight range if you use the onesize.

My Opinion – New to cloth parents’ can easily be swayed with the ALL IN ONE style – just like a disposable it is so simple to use, and wash, no fixing together and separating before and after each change. BUT the PUL material used in the outer part of any ALL IN ONE nappy or wrap is nowhere near as durable as the inner absorbent part of the nappy. So if we can separate the PUL from the inner absorbent part (ALL IN TWO) then when the PUL deteriorates and loses its waterproofing we can simply re-waterproof it with a wash in waterproofer. If we can’t separate the two parts of the nappy (like with an ALL IN ONE) then we can never re- waterproof the PUL outer part because the inner part is sewn into it. When the PUL fails the whole nappy then becomes useless. ALL IN TWO are a little more fiddley to use but they will last through 2 or 3 children, are usually cheaper to buy and they can be pre snapped together and used like an ALL IN ONE for the nursery or childminder. So if you are buying for your first child and longevity and cost are important then the ALL IN TWO are worth considering.

Stay Dry Motherease Wizard Duo Inserts – Wizard Duo stay dry inserts are made from an exclusive  high tech super absorbent 100% polyester fabric.  The inserts give you full width coverage and will not bunch. Easy to rinse, super quick to dry and moisture wicking technology means they are dry to the touch even when wet. Super durable fabric which helps prevent rashes like no other on the market.  Motherease do not use fleece in their nappies like other brands as it slow absorption and that can cause leaks. Motherease stay dry fabric is entirely different to any other staydry fabric on the market and It is made JUST for them!  Motherease Wizard Duo Inserts use a specially knit fabric that creates a stay dry barrier by the weave in the fabric. It allows the wetness to easily pass through, but not back. Keeping the babies skin dry to the touch.   Another neat aspect is that they include a cooling yarn as well. This keeps the temperature inside the nappy lower – cooler for baby and reduces the growth of bacteria.

Stay Dry Nights Wizard Duo Inserts –Same Stay Dry Insert as above but higher absorbency for night time.  The night inserts have green stitching so you can tell the difference between days and nights.  If you need your night time nappy capacity boosted even further then a booster can be simply placed between the cover and insert.

Bamboo Wizard Duo Inserts –Bamboo inserts will give you full width coverage and will not bunch. They are easy to rinse, wash and are velvety soft. Bamboo is a natural fabric and suitable for the daytime but they will take longer to dry. For quicker drying natural fabric choose Cotton inserts or for quick drying and nights choose the StayDry Motherase Wizard Duo Inserts.

Natural Unbleached Cotton Wizard Duo Inserts –There are a variety of pad fabric choices for the Wizard Duo. Cotton is a natural fabric and the cheapest of the insert options, it is suitable for the daytime. It gives full width coverage and will not bunch.  For more absorbency choose the bamboo insert but this is slower drying, for quick drying and nights choose the StayDry Inserts.

Washing and Care – please read carefully our full ‘washing and care instructions’.  All nappies and wraps must be washed according to our care instructions otherwise the manufacturers guarantee will not be valid.  All new nappies must be washed before they are used.  Please note that when buying a large number of cloth nappies you should just wash a few in the first instance, and check you are happy with your choice, as I cannot refund on used or washed nappies. This nappy can be tumble dried on a low heat, however it is advisable to only tumble dry occasionally as it does shorten the life of the nappy and of course cost you more.

Care of Motherease Wraps – you need to buy the wraps separately 
The binding on the Motherease wraps are the reason they are so fabulously waterproof so it’s important to treat the binding with respect and make sure it can’t get caught on velcro etc in the wash.  When washing your Motherease wraps place them in a mesh washing bag separate from anything that could catch on the binding like Velcro to keep them in excellent and reliable condition.
