The Flip Stay Dry Insert 

is made of 3 super absorbent layers of micro fibre plus a lovely soft fleece layer on the top that keeps your baby’s bottom nice and dry.  The insert has stitched lines at one end to show you where to fold the insert for small, medium and large sizes to fit with the size variations of the wrap, this also makes it nice and easy to fold the pad to the right length.   Place a clean stay dry insert in the flip nappy cover, when soiled change the insert only.  So simple!   

Fabric – Stay dry layer 100% polyester, absorbent core 80% polyester, 20% polyamide.

The Flip nappy system is simple and relative low cost.  You need 1 Flip Wrap for 4 – 6 boosters.  If using on a newborn you may well need more wraps as newborn poo is runny and can easily get over the wrap which means you have to wash it more often,  so consider buying a few more wraps if you are using on very young babies.  You can also get daytime organic and nighttime organic inserts for Flip wraps and these are made from the super soft organic cotton that is used in the Bumgenius Elementals 

My Opinion –  although this is a two part nappy system and two part nappies are generally excellent at containing runny poo, the Flip system is not always reliably leak proof on younger babies.  This is because the inserts are not shaped around the baby so do not create the double barrier!  But runny poo stage generally lasts for the first 6 months so this is not an ongoing issue and the Flip system is a low cost Bumgenius option and Bumgenius is a stalwart in the cloth nappy world.

Washing – Wash between 40° and 60°.  Can be tumble dried on a low heat.  Please read carefully our full ‘washing and care instructions’.  All nappies and wraps must be washed according to our care instructions otherwise the manufacturers guarantee will not be valid.  All new nappies must be washed before they are used.  Please note that when buying a large number of cloth nappies and wraps you should just wash a few in the first instance, and check you are happy with your choice, as I cannot refund on used or washed nappies.
